Welcome to my online nursing portfolio.  I am delighted to share with you my nursing background, schooling, and career achievements.  My professional nursing career includes direct patient care with medical-surgical, oncology, orthopedic, and neurology experience. I started as a staff nurse in pediatrics and advanced into the pediatric intensive care unit of a regional medical center.  I completed my Master Degree in Nursing with an emphasis on Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University in August of 2011.  Nurses have the power to change a person's life, making nursing a very rewarding job; therefore, I am anxious to express my passion for nursing to others persuing the profession.  I kindly invite you to browse my website to view my professional goals for the future, accomplishments in regards to Boyer’s Model for Scholarship as well as the National League for Nursing (NLN) eight competencies for nursing education, and qualifications as a nurse educator.
